Cat litter placement question

hi there, I'm finally pregnant and starting to work out where everything will live in my tiny flat! I have a cupboard which houses the cat litter and I think I can fit the pram in there too for storage - can anyone see an issue with this if the baby isn’t breathing anything in directly and doesn't have access? Am I overthinking it?

The bag of clean cat litter or the litter tray?

Trying33 · 28/05/2022 22:48

The tray! It's a self cleaning one but still worried airborne dust may carry on to the pram...

No don't put your pram beside the litter tray, that's horrible.

No, you can’t do that. It will get covered in litter dust that has been exposed to cat waste.

Probably not a good idea - cats use smell as a significant cue for "where to poop", and keeping the pram with the litter tray could lead to cats viewing it as somewhere else they can poop... Also, dust inhalation from the litter would be quite unhygienic.

If you live in an ok area and your pram folds down, could you use a bike lock to attach the pram frame to stairs in the building? Then you've just got the carrycot to put in the flat, and it can be used as a place to put baby safely for naps etc.

I wouldn’t store the pram in the cupboard next to the litter tray either.

Do you have a car? Store it in the boot of the car if you have one.

What about a door mounted hook? It could go on the outside of the cupboard door or the inside of the front door?

Trying33 · 29/05/2022 19:21

Thanks so much all - door mounted hook it is!
