Going out before vaccinations

When did you take newborn out in public i.e. Into shops, cafes etc Did you wait for first set of vaccinations? FTM so welcome any advice!

Within a couple of weeks when I felt up to it. Baby will have your immunity so no need to worry.

I took her out at about 2 weeks, just went to my work place and then a cafe. It really depends more on when you’re happy and comfortable to take them out :)

Was your baby identified as sickly at birth? If not, go out when you want. I took him out pretty much straight away

Isn’t 8 weeks the first set? You definitely don’t need to wait until then. Whenever you feel ready

Yes you can take them out to places as soon as you feel recovered enough from the birth.

Take a look at what is in the first set of vaccinations. They are unlikely to encounter most of those things down Tesco...

DC2 was 2 days old. Not so different with others, maybe 6-7 days with DC1.

ASAP - you'll go stir crazy staying in! And at that age they just slept in the sling on me so not hugely exposed anyway
