My boy is 7 months and bottle fed and from about 4 months I’ve had numbness in my hands when I sleep and also twinges and aches during the day. I believe this is due to the repetitive strain of being a mum - holding bottles, preparing bottles, washing bottles and of course holding my baby. I went to the gp and she told me to buy splints for night time, I tried it but they are annoying to wear and I don’t sleep well with them (and sleep is precious!) so I gave up.

I wondered if anyone else has this and if it eventually went away? It’s not the end of the world, it only hurts sometimes and the numbness is mostly annoying at night, but ideally I don’t want it to last forever and I also worry I might have been misdiagnosed or that it could get worse without treatment.

thank you!

My baby is 4 months and I've got those same twinges and aches. Not so much numbness, but get pins and needles in my legs at night! I've been putting it down to circulatory problems and the hormones. Also spending a lot of time trying to operate the phone one handed - if I consciously cut down the phone use it seems to improve.

Buy some decent splints that don't effect your sleep - www.amazon.co.uk/BraceUP-Support-lightweight-splint-cushioned/dp/B06XKTYT1S/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2C5JVLOOVC0OR&keywords=wrist+supports&qid=1653635836&sprefix=wrist+supp%2Caps%2C165&sr=8-10 these are comfortable. Most people find splints sure them. I had to have surgery.

Yes I had this when I was feeding twins. I had to wear one of those wrist splint things and it eventually went away
