Possible reflux? Wheezy breathing

Hi,

I have a 4 month old who has recently started doing a weird wheeze/whistle when breathing occasionally. She has been checked by the doctor twice now who prescribed gaviscon for reflux as she is quite sicky but it made her unsettled and constipated so we stopped giving her it. It only happens occasionally, sometimes after being sick, sometimes when crying and the other day I noticed her wheezing when she was trying to roll. I just wondered if anyone else's baby has had this?

I'm not convinced it's caused by reflux but don't want to keep bothering the doctors 😬 she was also sick recently and brought up a wee bit of yellow coloured sick? with the rest of it. She is completely fine in herself but I'm just not sure if reflux would be causing this?

Thanks 😊

This wasn't my experience with reflux with my DS when he was younger, but that said I did read that the whistling noise can be a sign of reflux. Obviously it can be very worrying though when it's to do with their breathing, etc.

Have you tried speaking with a health visitor to get a second opinion? Ultimately I'd say if your gut tells you this needs to be looked into further, keep pushing your drs. You know your child best and you are their best advocate for when they need help.

Hope it gets sorted for you soon!
