I totally get that Walnust - and I work in the evenings too. But there is just no way I could get dd to bed that early - it's ahrd enough as it is.

I remember the days (up to 12 mo) when she was always up by 5 - 5.30. I used to dream of lying in to 6 am - now I feel cheated if it's before 7.

Walnut, even.

Walnutshell · 13/01/2008 17:34

Have to say it's pretty easy to get ds to bed, but I won't mention the night-time wakings that we've been experiencing recently... But then night-time wakings have long been a feature of our life so the 'time off' we had for a few months was obviously just a holiday.

We have started having nightwakings again in the last few weeks after 18 mo with none

Ds (3) goes to bed at 8-8.30 (or he'd never see his father) and wakes between 6 and 7 most mornings. This has been his pattern (for the most part) since he was about 18 mths. He still sleeps for an hour every afternoon though.

dejags · 13/01/2008 18:14

Both my boys when aged two would go to bed at 7pm and sleep until anywhere between 6.30am and 8.30am. At that age they also both had 2-3 hours of daytime sleep.

Poppychick · 13/01/2008 19:28

DD aged 3 sleeps 7pm - 8.30am and has done since about 7wks old.

DS aged 1 sleeps 7pm - 8am just about and very hit and miss.

Doesn't really seem to be a pattern does there!! They're all different LOl.

DavidTennantsMistress · 13/01/2008 19:43

mine is doing 7pm - 8am with at least an hours nap at 1pm (normally 1.5-2 hours thou) isn't always that good thou, sometimes he screams up there till 8.30 but I refuse to go up there.

dreading when the bars come off his cot! lol.

berolina · 13/01/2008 19:46

ds1, 2.8, sleeps roughly 10.5-11 hours a night, with no daytime nap.

gigglewitch · 13/01/2008 19:47

my dd (25mo) sleeps 8:30pm til 8am. often tries wandering round at midnight but finds herself put back in bed instantly with no reward (drink etc) in the hope that she'll kick the habit

Tinker · 13/01/2008 19:49

8.00/8.30 pm to about 6.00 am most nights. Naps at childminder's still but not with us unless in car.

PanicPants · 13/01/2008 19:52

7pm bedtime, wakes up between 7-8am (depending if he has heard us in the shower getting ready for work).

He still has about 2 hours sleep in the afternoon too.

He is 2.5.

nobodysfool · 13/01/2008 19:57

Ds is 30 mths.Bed at 7 ish and up at 8-9 with a two hour nap in the afternooon.BLISS

UniversallyChallenged · 13/01/2008 19:58

12 hours usually to the minute!

ballbaby · 13/01/2008 20:09

ds2 is 2y 5mo and sleeps from 8pm to 6am - this is only since he dropped his lunchtime nap - it used to be 5am. Ds1 who is 5 sleeps more than him! My mum says i used to sleep from 6pm to 8am .

mrsgboring · 13/01/2008 20:25

DS 2.2, has dropped daytime nap just before his birthday. Sleeps about 10 hours-ish, but wakes during this time and comes into bed with us, then we all sleep better. But he wants to get up from about 4am, so spend the wee small hours wrestling him back into bed and trying not to let him wake up too much - once he starts talking it's almost inevitable that he will get up and there's nothing to be done. I was exactly the same. We cope but at those whose kids sleep 12 hours and nap!
