Clingy

Hi

My DD 4.5m is getting extremely clingy to me. I am her primary care giver and it's been a tough few weeks with her milk challenge then 16 week jabs so she's just wanted momma.

She cries when ever someone else comes in. Usually it's visitors like nana and grandad but she did it with dh tonight. She also only settles to sleep with me.

It's breaking my heart for dh as he works all day and comes home and would love a bit of quality time with DD before bed. I really feel for him.

She's fine with him on a weekend once he's around more. Anyone have any tips to stop the crying when someone walks in and how to get her less clingy?

Its not much help.. but it is a phase. My baby was exactly the same - then back to normal.

Sorry OP but mine was exactly the same, I've found they go in and out of clingy phases. Between 6-7 months she wouldnt even play unless she was sitting on my lap and it was exhausting, but now plays quite happily independently.

Thanks for the replies. I guessed it would be a phase i just feel so bad for DH after a long day and she won't be comforted/cuddled by him :( hopefully it'll pass soon as we have weddings coming up and if she won't settle for DH what chance has childcare got:D
