2 (potentially stupid) cloth nappy questions...

  1. Will Motherease Rikki/Airflow wraps work over terry squares?

2)I'm confused about poo. I keep reading that you should shake/rinse poo off nappy or liner (I am using fleece pre-lined nappies or fleece liners with shaped nappies) into the loo. But breastmilk poo doesn't shake off! I hold it in the flush but nothing much happens. It does appear to come out alright in the wash though. Is there anything else I should be doing?

See, told you they were stupid questions! TIA

  1. yes
  2. purely breastfed baby poo is totally water soluble so I never rinsed it off just chucked it in nappy bucket and then straight in machine.

not stupid questions btw.

If you use paper liners you can flush them and the poo down the loo. Saves them staining the fleece liners though tbh BM poo is inoffensive.

I used squares with plastic pants and I think ME would work over them - airflow possibly better. HTH.

Wow, quick responses, thanks! Good to know about the poo, I was spending ages trying to get rid of it wondering what I was doing wrong! I love the fleece liners, seem to stay mysteriously dry no matter what so I will put up with the occasional stain.
And I will buy some terry squares to supplement my nappy collection. My mum can go all misty-eyed with memories as she teaches me how to fold them.

I used fleece liners for DD and they never got stained at all.

  1. no shake and if nothing will fall of as all liquid and its washing of anyway then tis a good job done
