7 month old and feeding schedules

Hi - feeling a bit confused about my 7 month old feeding schedule and when to drop a bottle and introduce a 3rd meal.

Currently LO has four bottles and two meals:

  • 7am bottle
  • 8am breakfast
  • 11.30 bottle
  • 12.30 lunch
  • 4pm bottle
  • 7pm bottle

Recently she's been fussing over the 11.30 and 4pm bottle and only taking 4/5oz when they were previously 8/9 oz. Which bottle should I drop as she clearly doesn't want all that milk? And does this mean she's ready for dinner? Confused FTM! Please help! Bear

I was told my paediatric dietitian to offer three meals from 9 months and snacks at 12.

Don't drop the bottles, just make them smaller. Responsiveness should be the guiding principle of all baby feeding.

Does she have a lot of solids at mealtimes? I would slowly reduce the milk quantity if she's about to have solids, but take the lead from your baby. If she's fussing when you go ti give her lunch, she's probably still full from breakfast
