Hi my 11 week old has been having one loose poop every 2 days since I changed her formula 3 weeks ago have spoke to many doctors who said don’t worry. Today I finally saw a doctor and he has said she has a cows milk protein allergy and has prescribed a formula. Her only symptom is the runny poop, she feeds well and hardly ever spits up, she doesn’t have a rash and is a very happy baby that never cries, she doesn’t seem in pain. Was wondering if anyone else’s baby had cmpa with very little symptoms. Thanks

My baby has only ever had a nappy rash and loose poo. He was so regular that often when I was changing a nappy, he'd already be doing another! I was changing them every 2 hours, at least (and as soon as he'd pood). It was as though the loose poo was burning him (rash was like burns, and only around his bottom). Creams weren't getting rid of the rash. CMPA was suspected. As I'm breastfeeding I was advised to try cutting out cow's milk. The rash disappeared after this - not sure if it was a coincidence though. 2 months on and no rash still. He poos less often though, as now he is older, naturally they do go less.
I found it surprising that it could be CMPA on such few symptoms.

Ahh ok I was just thinking she would poop more that the once every 2 days. Glad your baby is doing better 😊

this what her poop looks like is this normal or does it look like Cows milk allergy

It has mucus in it which is a sign of cmpa.
