Can babies get too used to being in a carrier/sling?

I’m new to using a sling! My daughter is 5 weeks old and decides she doesn’t like to sleep much unless being pushed in a pram or being held so I purchased a sling for more hands free time. It’s been a big help especially with having a 3 year old to look after too! I’m worried she will get too used to being in a sling and refuse naps in her cot when she’s a bit older. Has anyone had this or do I need to relax and go with the flow? Thank you!

I say relax and go with the flow.
I had the same worries but if your child was/ became easy to put in the cot you'd figure that out and do that instead.
Mine wasn't an easy baby and never got easy, but we moved from the sling to naps in the buggy, and that's fine too.
Congratulations.
The sling was the best thing we ever bought.

I found more sling time in the day meant better sleep at night - I think she got stocked up on cuddles. So no, I don’t think it’s a problem, unless the sling isn’t comfy for you to wear for that long. In which case, your local sling library can help.
