High VOC paint on cot

Hi,

A week ago I painted my two year old daughter's new cot with a satinwood paint that turns out to have high levels of VOC. I think I may have made a huge mistake. Is it safe for her to sleep in it? How long will it take for the toxic chemicals to dissipate? Is there anything I can buy to "seal in" the VOCs and make it safe for her? She hasn't slept in it yet but I'm now wondering if I should buy a new cot.

Thanks in advance.

It will be fine once it has cured properly. The solvents will evaporate.

Thanks! Do you have any idea how long that will take? It's Dulux Once satinwood.

It only takes two or three days at room temperature.

If in doubt, contact Dulux and ask for advice.
