Toddler DD refusing to fall asleep alone after holiday

DD has just turned 3 and always been a great sleeper. We would put her into her cot awake and leave the room, and she'd happily fall asleep by herself.

We've recently been on 2 holidays. We've never taken her on holiday before and so at bed time, one of us (mainly me) would stay with her until she fell asleep, due to it being a different environment and because she had never slept in a bed before. When we got back from the first holiday, we turned her cot into a toddler bed and she went back to her usual routine of us leaving the room & falling asleep herself.

We got back from our second holiday where again, we had stayed with her until she fell asleep. However, since we got back on Friday, she suddenly will not go to sleep without me there. Every time i leave the room she screams & screams to the point where she almost throws up. I've ended up sitting next to her bed for hours each evening until she falls asleep. I've never heard her cry like that before. Shes also started waking in the night & screaming for me when she realises im not there.

Im currently getting no evening at all, plus i work 10 hour days which means i have to log back on to my laptop in the evenings, which i currently have no chance of doing! How can I get her back to falling asleep alone again?!
