My DD is 15 months, she CAN do an unsteady walk across the room but she keeps opting to knee walk everywhere

I just want to know if this is normal and ok? I'm starting to feel like maybe I should be worried

Did your child do this??

My DD didn’t, but I did according to my mum. I walked on my knees until 17.5 months before I walked properly.

Yes, up to 17 months.
No crawling or walking till then.

My child did do this. He didn't walk steadily until he was just over age of 2 in the end. We ended up getting a referral for physiotherapy at 15 months. She said he was physically fine and that it was probably a developmental delay.

It definitely worth seeing a gp if you're worried op.

My son knee walked for many months until he finally started walking at 17 months. Interestingly he hardly ever fell once he started walking and was quite steady on his feet from the off. He’s a great walker now and happy to walk long distances. So the knee walking certainly didn’t indicate an issue in his case.

none of mine did

Yes, same here.
Literally from knee walking to up and running.
