Hi!

My little girl is 6 months old and we've started to wean.. nightmare!

I've no idea where to start or what's safe and appropriate for her to have. She'll have porridge on a morning but I'm desperate to start being more adventurous in the kitchen and making her meals.

Does anyone know if any decent recipe books or know or anywhere I can get any advice? I'd like to make her meals rather than relying on a jar x

Hi OP - www.solidstarts.com

I cannot recommend these guys enough. Follow them on Instagram if you have it and download the app. It's given me so much confidence to feed my baby real food, and there is so much Information about chewing, swallowing, how a baby learns to eat, choking, gagging etc.

I never in a million years would have thought to give her some of the things they recommend (chicken drumstick, ribs, corn on the cob, mango pit for example) but all that helps them learn how to chew safely and she's such a great eater now thanks to them

Good luck :)
