My DD turned 2 on the 2nd May and it says she can now have 7.5ml of Calpol, however, she’s small for her age. She’s just under 11kg and 82cm tall so would I give her 7.5ml or stick with 5ml?

If you google paracetamol per kg of weight you'll have your answer. I wouldnt take advice on this sort of thing just from mumsnet

I've just tried googling and there are plenty of sites with the information, including ones where you can enter weight and - most importantly - the strength of the calpol you're using.

I agree with pp, best to check it for yourself than trust people behind a screen.

Hope your little one is okay

This is a handy calculator which will work out the max dose for your child, based on a max of 15mg/kg. Based on the stats youve give for your child the max dose is 6ml 4-6 times per day. Hope that helps.

Dr Google says average 2yo is 11.5kg, so yours is 25th centile ish.
7.5ml will be fine, 5ml will also be fine.
I would really really hope that age based dosing ensured safety on the lower end of the chart anyway (like 1% levels). Anything else would be dangerous and risk them getting sued.

It might be different if she was two months and small, of off the chart underweight.

You can give 20mg/kg as a loading dose and then 15mg/kg for each dose after that:
So up to 8.5ml as the first dose and then 6.5 ml after that
