Toddler biting sibling

Hi.

i have two boys, a 14 month old and a 2.5 Yr old. Both are amazing, amazing boys. They love playing with one another and get a lot of laughter and enjoyment together. My 14 month old is unwell and waiting for biopsy so he is smaller than average and not as robust.

However, we are struggling with our 2.5 yr old biting his younger brother, this is always out of excitement when they are playing and never out of anger.

I have tried redirecting, 'telling off', overly comforting etc but am not seeing any progress.

I would be really grateful for any tips on how to handle this in a gentle parenting manner.

Thank you

Pick one approach (I'd suggest removing the baby and giving lots of extra comfort for a short period of time and then resetting) and stick to it.

Also, you know when this happens, and why, so you need to be MUCH better about supervising and intervening before it happens. Your toddler needs to reach an age and stage where he can better regulate himself, and until that happens you need to protect the baby.
