I'm looking for some advice. I'm split from my children's father for over 3 years now. He paid for an autism assessment. I was reluctant to give information as my ex was controlling and abusive. I have since applied for dla 9 weeks ago. How long does this take on average? Does it matter we have 50/50? What rates do you get with high functioning autism? She is 8 and requires care and supervision day and night. She also has to be supervised when out and about and requires extra help with school work at home. She can become very emotional and requires constant reassurance and help with washing and dressing etc.
