Any recommendations please? 😊 it will be used on driving holidays so doesn’t need to be particularly lightweight etc. And DS is quite tall so the longer the better!

We've got the maxi cosi iris for our baby, I found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think? https://www.johnlewis.com/maxi-cosi-iris-travel-cot-graphite/p5645727?tmad=c&tmcampid=7&sshare=jlappioss_Y29tLmFwcGxlLlVJS2l0LmFjdGl2aXR5LkNvcHlUb1Bhc3RlYm9hcmQ=

It's really sturdy & finds up quite small/ lightweight. Cones in a bag with a strap. It's perfect for our growing baby & I think suitable until 3. If your toddler is nearly 3 it might not be suitable

I had looked at that one @Pac35 but the reviews said it was pretty small. Toddler is only 18m but is at the top of his centile chart for height so the longer the better!

I'd just get a cheap one tbh - we have a cuggl one from argos, tall DC slept diagonally in it but by 2yo he could easily climb out so ended up in a bed on trips away.

Not fussed about price - just happy with something that fits him 🙈 We have the Joie Kubbie Compact from when he was a newborn and i tried him in it this morning and he’s touching both ends 🙈 it’s not big enough for him to sleep diagonally in, he can’t even roll over from the middle 🤣

You probably want a massive pack and play thing then? The Hauck is 128cm long....

Caspianberg · 06/05/2022 13:31

I would get toddler sleeping bag type blow up bed now then.

we have babybjorn. Ds has easily climbed out of it the last 6+ months and he just turned 2. On our last trip he would fall asleep in our bed and we lifted him into cot when asleep or left in main bed as he was just too agile. He climbed out of two others provided by hotels also so I doubt any keep them in once able.

My First Ready Bed although not sure if they need to be 2+ to use it safely TBH. There was a baby that suffocated in one of these blow up beds.

I agree with looking at just the cheap basic ones that are normal cot size - 120 x 60. We have a Hauck but they also make them by Graco, Red Kite, Cuggl etc. They're all basically the same.

BertieBotts · 06/05/2022 13:47

Oh no never mind, the baby that suffocated was 2 months old and it wasn't a ready bed, it was an inflatable cot insert. I think her mum succeeded in getting it banned as well.

BertieBotts · 06/05/2022 13:48

Argos says it's OK from 18 months - look what character you like :)

We've got a secondhand Little Life tent-style one – I think it's about 120cm long, and on the ground, so no weight limit and good for tall children. It's indoor/outdoor, so ours also doubles as a play den in the garden (we bought a new mattress for actual sleeping and use the old one for play).

PatientlyWaiting21 · 06/05/2022 22:17

I bought a cheap one it was crap, then bought baby bjorn pricey but well worth it!

RandomName130 · 06/05/2022 22:20

Thanks all 😊 I’ve ordered a Hauck one to see how that goes. Was the longest one I could find so hopefully he’ll be more comfortable on that than the compact one we have just now.

@BertieBotts - the ready beds do look cute but he’s only 18months and definitely still needs contained at night 😬🤣 I can only imagine the chaos if he was able to get out of bed and roam 😳
