Festival wagon for toddler to sit in

Can anyone recommend a pull along wagon that's safe for a toddler to sit in? We want to get one for festivals, days out to the beach, zoo etc. I've looked at the Wonderfold Wagon but it's crazy expensive and looks really heavy and bulky.

I was debating getting a basic one and adding padding and a seat belt... Has anyone done something like this?

Thanks!

What size car do you have? They are big! If you know anyone in the states who is coming over soon get a Radio Flyer.

Otherwise you can get a camping/gardening trolley and pimp it up (and then when it's not needed anymore it can go back to camping/gardening)
We never bothered with the seatbelt on our one.

If you're planning on going on the beach, get the biggest tyres you can (but watch out for punctures!)

Lots of places (theme parks etc) don't allow them (even if buggies are fine) so weigh up whether a buggy might be a better solution.

We hired one for Green Man with an 11mnth old and it was useless. My kid immediately climbed over the side and tried to get her fingers into the handle mechanism. Also saw lots of other people in tears in camping fields with stuck trolley, etc. They obviously don't work for a lot of kids.

We had a backpack carrier worked better for getting about, and for sleep I let her nod off on my lap in a camping chair with banz over her ears. This was night 2 onwards after the trolley disaster.

If you can borrow one to give it a test before buying, do it. Have a back up plan tho in case itand don't let the festival wagon wreck your holiday!
