Any help appreciated.

Momma to 9 week old baby boy. Formula fed!

since birth has been very unsettled always been hard to get to sleep and constantly crying. Has silent reflux which we have just started taking omperozole for which appears to be helping as he was constantly choking poor guy. Now thinking maybe a cmpa as this has been happening since birth?

his symptoms are-

  • he poos very little although not constipated has been the same since birth
  • struggles with wind and griping stomach aches draws his legs up and kicks them out
  • Always sneezing and sounds bunged up after feeds
  • chronic cough- initially thought it was becusse he was born via c section but has not improved.
  • unsure if he has an itchy face always rubbing it on my clothes/shoulder
  • Screams after feeding and becomes fussy if I stop to wind him
  • stuggles to sleep has always have difficulty getting off and won’t stay asleep for very long
has anyone had any similar experiences?

we already use gripe water for wind and have tried infacol in the past which didn’t help.

have tried colief.

im so upset as he has always been so unsettled since birth aas all he seems to does is scream and it’s hard to see him in pain.

any help appreciated?

It certainly sounds like CMPA could be causing the symptoms.

Have a read of this from Allergy UK and see if the symptoms are similar. The link also contains some helpful information on how to speak to your GP.

I'd also film him taking a feed if he's that unsettled.

How you're getting on now @Tiredmum22222?

Tiredmum22222 · 30/04/2022 21:44

Tired. The poor boy can’t seem to settle and is so over tired. Going to see how he goes over the bank holiday and perhaps get it touch with GP to discuss. He shouldn’t be content after a nice big bottle however he is the opposite. Thankyou for asking

Poor boy. Was the article from Allergy UK any use?

How are you getting on? I suspected Cmpa at 2 weeks. I was combi feeding so I cut dairy from diet and bought Aptamil pepi 1.i asked GP and he just said give it a whirl. He was reluctant to prescribe formula bc expensive. At 6 weeks I tried a bit of dairy and my DD had horrid reaction - screaming and writhing in agony whilst digesting, confirming it.
