I am so glad she is confident and able to articulate herself but my goodness - she will NOT shut up!

I constantly have to redirect, re focus on the task at hand (eat your dinner!) and just generally ask her to dial down all the chatter so i can just think. Or just be.

Are other 8-9 year olds like this?

As a brownie leader, i would say that this is the prime age for this! It's lovely when they want to tell us all their news, but my word when there are 25 of them... 🤪🤪

Notwithittoday · 29/04/2022 20:46

Yes my dd is exactly the same especially at bedtime!

My 5 year old is like this. My ears are hurting. It's just how stop and yes it slows everything rise dramatically down.

Omg does it actually get worse with time? 😮

Oh shit, my 6 year old is exactly the same. I was hoping she’d grow out of it soon😫

Yes.
I was amazed by DD at this age at her ability to never stop talking...
