Lying ex

So my partner has a 10 year old boy. Single when met him. Step son from a casual dating thing - they weren't in a relationship, she's moved on has a boyfriend etc since child was 1. So the thing is is that she is lying to CSA and saying her son doesn't stay with us overnight, when he does, always has, hubby has always paid for him, great dad, has him all the time etc etc .. won't bore you with how much she's done this over and over but here we are again, CSA in contact saying they'll be taking more money as he doesn't stay overnight.

Hubby is more than happy to pay and DOES pay the fixed amount as long as it is truthful that he stays overnight, always has. A lot of the time been here more than hes been home with her.

What can we actually do about the lies? We don't retaliate to her personally, we can't be bothered with her she's always been so awful, she's bipolar and I get that but she's actually horrible, her own family don't speak to her.
What's the next step, how can we make this stop, if it's court, how do we go about it, we're ready now, enough is enough, we have him all the time. If she is proven a liar does she actually pay US back? What happens?
