HELP! Is this the sleep regression

For the last month or so my 4month olds sleep hasn’t been the best

Before this month he’d usually go 9-3, bottle, then 3.45-6.15/30 and have a bottle then back until 8/9 (lucky I know!!)

The past month his sleep has been quite patchy. He’s waking to be settled which he never used to. And some nights he will only sleep on me not in the cot - so you can imagine I’m exhausted

I was talking to a friend upset thinking I’m creating bad habits sleeping on me but then she mentioned he might’ve started his sleep regression at 3 months?

Could this be it?

His daytime naps haven’t been the best but I assumed it was because I stopped contact napping and have been trying to get him to so alone? And that he’s tired but she said that’s a sign too

Btw I am not moaning I know these things will happen throughout my babies life! Disrupted sleep very common in children

but I’m just asking for advice as I’ve been worried that I’m making my baby anti cot and only want to sleep on me I’m worried I’m creating bad habits x

Yes, that sounds very like the dreaded 4 month sleep regression
i think mine had it for around a month so hopefully you are through the worst of it

but I found that sorting through day time naps really helped - the ‘sleep breeds sleep’ thing

so maybe clear your diary a bit this week and get the naps sorted if you can

by this age, you can use the 2 hour awake window as a guide, so get them back in the cot for a nap after they’ve been awake for 2 hours and look for tjr tiredness cues like rubbing eyes and yawning
