Does this sound like thrush?

So I am currently breastfeeding and for about a week I have noticed that it feels like someone is driving tiny super sharp pins in to different parts of my boob - mainly my nipples - it’s on and off some days it’s barely there at all (seems to coincide with my boobs refilling perhaps?) a tiny bit of itching but nothing overly noticeable. I also seemed to get really engorged when it started as well…

DD has no signs of thrush in mouth or any nappy rash!

we’re now on treatment but is this really thrush? Also had some stabbing pains in the side of boob tissue & im very aware of my nipples if I’m cold.

Could be the let down reflex? Many women find it painful. For me it was like a swarm of ants biting me all over my breasts. When does it happen? Let down happens when ever you start a breastfeeding session and can happen periodically during breastfeeding as well. You can also feel it if you leak between breastfeeding sessions.

Thanks for your response @Discovereads i don’t feel it at all during breastfeeding, I did think it could be let down or leaking ! I definitely feel it some time after feeding though which is why I thought it could be the ‘re-filling’
