My Ds is 10 months, he was swaddled since birth then we transitioned into crib and sleep bag just before 6 months, but I've noticed he really likes to cuddle his blanket during naps (always supervised) and I think it may play a part in his lack of sleep? I never give him one at bed time because I wouldn't be able to supervise I'd be asleep, but would it be okay at 10 months now or still to early? I've tried a Muslin but doesn't work, but when he wakes up and I settle him with his blanket his straight back to sleep. Then I have to take it off him.

The lullaby trust recommend a clear cot and no loose bedding until 12 months

I've used that for swaddling have you had no problems using that during the nigh? I just feel like I can't sleep if he has anything with him even a Muslim I don't know if it's safe but he really loves a blanket to cuddle

Mine had cellular blankets and a sheet from birth too. Feet towards the bottom of the cot, and tucked in so it couldn’t go over their head.

No issues, even if they get the blanket over their head it’s full of holes. It never happened though, the blankets didn’t stay tucked in either.
