1 month old smells fishy??

Hello,

So this is strange but the last couple of days when my 1 month old is feeding (breast) I can smell fish. Now I’ve smelt everything (milk, boobs, all over him) & can’t seem to pinpoint it. He was sick in his crib last night & could smell it faintly again.

I think he may have reflux - he’s very unhappy after feeds & can’t get him to settle or potentially thrush as I’ve had lots of tingly pains in boobs - does anyone know if this can cause this? Also I have an oversupply that seemed to be regulating but in the last couple of days has gone nuts & I’m super engorged.

I've heard of this, think it could be a couple of things; one is a bacteria that lives on the skin and easily sorted but can also be indicative of a condition. I'd give your gp a call and let them do their stuff.

Definitely call the GP
