Surviving parenting without being completely exhausted and

I have a 5, 3 and 6 month old and am constantly so exhausted/just about (often not at all!) keeping on top of everything. I am aware that I have it very easy compared to a lot of people (lots of help from grandparents etc.), which I am so grateful for. But I wondered if anyone has any little tricks or hacks for surviving and enjoying parenting without running yourself into the ground? The constant housework/washing is never ending, as I’m sure you all know!

Thank you!

It is relentless. Two small things that help me:

  • trying to prioritise yourself for an hour or two each week. Do some exercise, read a book, whatever

Also don't sweat the small stuff. Everyone loves a pizza picnic when times get too hard

In my experience, you need at least one adult to be at home at least part of the working week. Families where both parents work full time tend to take a LOT more out of the adults in terms of time and energy and stress. Capitalism has fucked us - a homemaker/breadwinner model is much, much less exhausting than two working parents.
