Does this sound like dairy/soya intolerance?

Hi guys, I cut out dairy and soya after my baby had blood in her stools. But after cutting out both she has still had them. Doctors aren't overly concerned as she is gaining weight well and happy. She never had a rash or seemed uncomfortable, she always has pooed a lot and has eaten every 1 or so since she was born (she's 6 months now). Just wondering if people actually think this is dairy/soya intolerance?

What does the health visitor say? I'd be pushing for a referral to a dietician through them. I'd also want at least some sort of test being done through GP.

I've been referred to dietitian but there's a 12 week wait for them, doctor said she can't advise me to stop but to try her with the milk ladder when she's seven months old which is a gradual build up such as malted milk biscuits, then if she's okay with that a pancake etc but most people I've spoken to don't think it is a milk allergy. My boyfriend has two children who also had a milk allergy and he doesn't think that she has one as they had rashes etc so was just wondering what other peoples opinion where.

She has also had various check ups and a stool test to check if it was a virus but that came back fine.

Yeah I wouldn't have thought that blood in stools was a symptom of a dairy intolerance at all. A quick search on the NHS website does not list that as a symptom of dairy intolerance...

Hopefully you'll get some more replies.

I've got mine on a lactose free diet but I'm not convinced that's what it is either! He just has constant dioreah but his weight is fine.

Not sure what it could be but doesn't sound like dairy intolerance, my DD has a dairy allergy which results in eczema, bellyache and very windy but never any blood in the stool

Dairy intolerance can definitely cause blood in stool, but the blood should settle on stopping the dairy and soya (or within a few weeks of stopping at least).
