Did anyone do NCT as a second time round parent?

I feel a bit silly in a way as I did it first time so have the info re birth and life as a new parent, but obviously it’s mostly the social element I’m interested in.

I suppose most people doing it are first time mums so might not have much in common with them anyway!

I didn't with my first but did with my second. I didn't quite fit in with the group as I wasn't a FTM but they were nice enough people and I made some friends.

Yes, a group of five specifically not for first time mums. Four of us bonded over the fact that the group leader was batshit (the fifth kept crying about how sad she was that her older daughter would have to share her and didn’t come back after week two). The “babies” from that group are now mid twenties, for ten years we met at least once a week, and all went on to have subsequent kids, my third child was born a week before one of the other women’s fourth and they are besties! I live in Australia now and miss those women terribly, I still think of them as some of my closest friends.

It wasn't NCT but our local health clinic ante and post natal groups. I did both with my first but not second. We met up for several years afterwards once a week, a few dropped out as they returned to work, but four of us continued through our second babies and met up til I moved away.
I had sections snd found that the ante natal classes barely touched on that, and as I was still meeting with the first group didn't go to the classes with my second pregnancy. However I would have if I wasn't still meeting them.

I'm thinking of doing it second time round as I had my first during covid so didn't get to do it. Again for the social aspect!

The peanut app can be good for finding other mums if don't want to pay for a course
