training pants?

Sorry, I'm dominating the potty board at the moment as I'm in the middle of it all.

Did anyone use training pants? I don't mean pull up disposables but proper cotton absorbant training pants? A few people have recommended them and I wondered what you guys thought ...

Never bothered, just used normal underpants! Went through about 10 pairs the first day, maybe 5 the next, 3 the next... Cos I waited till ds1 was 2.75 he cracked it really quickly so wet pants didn't last more than a week. No point forking out for special ones unless it's taking a while I'd say.

I used a pair of Kooshies , bought in a sale, for ds when we were travelling. They can hold quite a bit but wouldn't totally rely upon them and he got a bit sweaty in them.
