Bit of a moan sorry in advance.

My son is 1 tomo. We have had a great problem free bf journey. He was a natural. Hes able to self settle and not dependent on it for sleep.

I would be hapoy to continue but no period back and want to ttc. Im 32 next month.

I've reduced from 4/5 feeds to two in 3 weeks. 3 to 1 it's been difficult, started over a week ago but still feeling abit full after morning feed. Plus I feel down, irritable and anxious- could be a side effect of stopping? I dont know how to go from twice a day to once, seems like it will be tough.
I would just like to stop if I'm stopping (I'm aware it still be be ages before I get a period... ) finding it really hard to stop physically and emotionally. Baby seems fine about it though which is good.

I dont know what I'm looking for really, thanks for reading if you got this far!

I completely get you! I had always said I'd breastfeed until 1 and then stop, and even though I wanted to And was ready to stop I found it tougher than I imagined. My hormones were all over the place, I cried a lot and I felt anxious all the time.

I found the best way for me to deal with it was to give myself a couple of weeks in between dropping each feed to get over the initial hormone craziness, but when I dropped the second to last one my DD just wasn't bothered anymore so I was nervous as dropped the last two feeds at the same time, weirdly that one was absolutely fine and I didn't have the same hormone weirdness as I did with the earlier feeds that I'd dropped.

Good luck!

Based on how you're feeling why not keep it at 2 for a couple of weeks and then drop to 1? A few more weeks won't make much difference and your periods may return with the reduced feeding anyway.
