Dehydration

My three year old has had a sickness bug since Tuesday evening. Vomited 4/5 times tues night and only once yesterday at 4pm. He just had a few dry pieces of food yesterday and sips of water. This morning when he woke at 8am I was very worried as he was not talking couldn’t walk and just looked very unwell I carried him to the toilet for a morning wee as he hadn’t urinated since 5pm Wednesday evening but he couldn’t go and went to lay back down, managed to get fluid in an he finally urinated at 9am so 16 hours without a wee. He perked up abit after a while and had a drink he also had some food, kept food down but then kept telling me he felt unwell again.

Hes now been asleep three hours and has not urinated since 9am. I know I overly worry but do you think he’s still dehydrated or will he be ok as he had the cup of fluids this morning. Debating wether I should wake him up for more fluid or let him sleep?

I think he needs to be seen by a medical professional. I would ring 111 now.

Yeah I'd get him checked op

Try encourage him to drink more, maybe squash and little sips very often.

But yes I would seek medical advice. 16 hours without urinating at that age is a long time.

Definitely get him checked over: even if just to put your mind at rest. Hope he feels better soon x

Don't take medical advice from internet ransoms - if you're not sure, ask a professional.
