Letting baby sleep when sick?

Hi - my 9 month old has a nasty cold/cough. On the rare occasion she naps longer than 90 minutes I usually get her up at two hours so that bedtime isn't scuppered (when not sick)

I just went in and she's sleeping so soundly and deeply I couldn't bring myself to get her up. Is the general consensus to let them sleep as long as they need when sick?

Thanks :)

I always let mine sleep as much as they want to when they are ill, even if outside of our “normal routine”. I find they recover much faster. Sometimes when you ill you just need to rest.

Let them sleep. Their wee bodies are using that time to get well.

At 9 months old I just let them sleep whenever they like…

Just leave her for sure. Get your head down too if you can, in case you have a disturbed night later. Or at least feet up, cup of tea and trash TV.

Thanks all - she's just woken up as I sat down with a coffee Grin

But seems better for it
