10 week old on Gaviscon... HELP!

My 10 week old has been a terrible feeder and has fallen through the centiles. He has been prescribed gaviscon for silent reflux. We were using size 1 teats on a Mam bottle and nothing would come out. Moved onto size 2 and although he gets some milk out, the gaviscon seems to stop the milk coming through. I've tried a size 3, he guzzled 2 oz in minutes (it would usually take 30 mins). I'm concerned the flow is too fast as at the rate he was going, he would finish a bottle in 5 minutes. He did stop drinking after 3 oz which is normal. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated 😃

I used to mix the gaviscon with a little milk (whatever the minimum was on the instructions) and either spoon or syringe it in with a feed. (I breastfed)

Our doctor recommended giving the gaviscon before or after a feed mixed with a bit of water. And then just feed the formula as normal. We gave up on the Gaviscon pretty quickly as it made my son so constipated. When I spoke to the doctor he said it’s renowned for doing that. Mam size 3 teats are usually for 4months + and even then are known for being too fast but no 2 seemed good for us. Good luck
