I work in a school and see the same parents each morning bringing their children late. It's a tiny rural village where we all know each other and I know for a fact that they all live very near to the school. The furthest is probably a 10 minute walk.
On lives literally across the road but still gets brought in late every morning. Not the little boy's fault but how hard can it be to allow sufficient time for a short walk to school?
Of course if relying on public transport or navigating busy traffic then constant lateness is could be explained.
My children are all teenagers now but I remember when at primary school, I always made sure we were all up, ready, dressed and left the house in time to get to school.
