Child benefit help

Hi everyone I sent my forms away to add my daughter on to my child benefit 2 weeks ago I got her birth certificate back buy havnt herd or recieved anything else from them yet
Anyone know how long it will be to her payments start and when I will be back paid

It took a few weeks for mine, and yes they do back pay to almost the date of birth, its from the first full week I think so if baby was born on a Friday it would be calculated from the following Monday.
If it is your second child it could be set up to come same day as your first payment so may take a bit longer.

I got back pay a couple of weeks after updating ours but I did it via phone, so much quicker.
