Help please DD (four in August) won't poo. Driving me MAD

My DD will be four at the end of August.

She was potty trained a little later than my older three DDs because she broke her femur and was in a hip spica - training would have been impossible until that was removed.

Now she will wee on toilet quite happily and has never, ever had wet knickers. She is dry all night long too.

BUT poohing is a different matter. She will not do it anywhere except in knickers . She will tell me she's done it but makes no effort to go on toilet. Sometimes (usually) she does it three times daily. Tonight, and am sorry if this is TMI, she got out of the bath and the pooh was literally coming out and I had to grab it with babywipes andkind of extract it from her bum

I don't understand this. I've had three other DDs who never had problems. She's not constipated and has no other problems so what can I do?? HELP PLEASE before I go completely doolally.

My son was four years and two months before he would do a poo on the toilet. I had read that he was toilet phobic but my health visitor said it was rubbish. i think they just reach a turning point. He was playing in the garden and we could see he was pushing for a poo and suggested that he sat on the loo and he did. horay!!!! Although it is inconvenient just be thankful she is not constipated!!!!!!!!!!!!
