how to keep 3 1/2 month old entertained now that she is rolling over

Hi ladies,

My 3 1/2 month old has recently learnt to roll over which is nice but where she previously spent at least 1/2 hour on her play gym grabbing dangling toys and happily gurgling, she is now no longer content to do this.

As soon as I put her on her mat she rolls over and then spends 5mins looking at the pictures on the mat and gets bored. The problem is she can't move around the mat on her tummy and gets bored very quickly.

What do other mothers do to keep their babies interested/entertained at this point? She seems to be at an awkward developmental stage where she is neither fully mobile nor imobile and seems quite frustrated.

xx

You could try a pat-mat with water in (Early Learning do them). Does your baby-gym have very low rings so you can attach things to the bottom of the arches for her to reach out for, play with and chew on?

A safe mirror propped-up will keep her attention and make her lift her neck.

A roll out piano might be fun. But annoying for you!

thanks duchess, some good ideas, she does love mirrors. Piano sounds fun too
