Having a pity party tonight. Baby 10 weeks old and thriving. I’m run down, mouth full of ulcers and so sore, i’m full of cold and just want to get in bed and sleep for 12 hours. I’ll get a stretch of 4 hours sleep once she goes to bed before she wakes for a feed which i’m thankful for as know others have it much worse. Just wanted a moan 😂 babies are hard work aren’t they!!

Super hard work, and you are at the worst bit…long term sleep deprivation is setting in. Hang in there

Are you taking any vitamins? If you have loads of mouth ulcers, you could probably do with a shed load of B vits, loads of D and some zinc.

If you add some C too it might help you kick the cold a bit faster. Hang in there

Aim for 5000 iui of vit d a day and then a super B mix and maybe a vit c fizzy drink. Then after a couple of weeks you could back off to a regular multivitamin.

Also can you split the nights with your partner if you have one or a friend who will sleep over for the weekend?

When mine were that age, DH and I had a deal.
I did the 5/6pm feed, ate dinner right away and went to bed by 6.30 latest. He kept the baby until midnight (I expressed enough for one bottle feed at 11pm ish). Then if the baby woke after midnight they were mine and DH would sleep until right before he had to go to work (took a to go breakfast)

At the weekends I would wrangle until 7am both days, but on Sat DH could sleep in until 9 before being expected to show his face and on Sundays he would take over from me at 7 until 9 so I could have a lie in equivalent.

It kept us somewhat sane until they hit 4 months ish and found their hands so that I could teach them to self settle a bit more and they started sleeping through (mostly!)
