Extra Wide Fitting Shoes

DS has very wide feet, he's an "H" fitting in Clarks. Whilst I'm happy to spend £45.00 on a pair of school shoes and the same again for out of school shoes I begrudge paying £45.00 for PE trainers that rarely get worn.

I took my son to Tesco and tried on a pair of cheap shoes in his size, we couldn't do them up. Does anyone know of any brands that are wide fitting and cheaper.

I found some trainers in Next for £16.00 but it's still more than I wanted to pay for PE shoes! All they do is run round a field for 30 minutes every two/three weeks.

Maybe look for some second hand ones?

They'll be other people looking to sell on the trainer's their child wore for 20 mins a week so should be some as new ones out there!

Go to sports direct or similar to look for trainers. Sometimes a size up can help, I have mine do a quick run in the shop to make sure they're not tripping over their own feet.

Our primary aged kids all have cheap pumps for PE because I'm tight 🤣🤣

I'd be surprised if you could get any trainers for signidicantly less than £16 tbh. If they send the PE kit home at half term could you have 2 pairs of £16 trainers and alternate them helf termly so they both get decently worn?

Thank you for your suggestion, there's a few pairs on Vinted that would be fine for wearing an hour a week for a term. After the summer break they'll be too small which is I why I don't want to spend a fortune for one term.
