How long did your child have rotavirus?

I’m slowly being reduced to tears! My 3 year old son had sickness and diarrhoea for 6/7days and on the last day my 10 month old son caught it and he is now on day 5 ! :( . He ended up in hospital today as his blood sugar was scary low and he needed fluids. Am I near the end of it? Me or my husband so far have caught nothing. He is now home but told to go back if he gets worse again.

9 days. It was awful.
Apple juice then later plain rice were brilliant.
On the 10th day I caught it!

@MarthanotMarfa it really is awful! Oh no were you really bad with it as well? I’m terrified that we could still get it ! As they have been so bad. My mums caught it off my son she’s sure but she never had sickness just the other end! Terrible bug.

I wasn’t too bad (nothing like ds) but 2 days of sickness (nothing the other end!) and that awful nausea that you forget until it happens. We were moving house and were in an air bnb for 2 weeks it was awful!!! I couldn’t do it or stand up so my dh went and met the removals van and I directed furniture and boxes by FaceTime. Feel sick thinking about it!!! Fingers crossed. Apparently 10 days is max time so if you make it to 10-12 days you’ll be ok….good luck!!!
