Hey so my little girl has abs a touch of thrush with being on antibiotics
Then a urine infection and now she's got some more discharge ...
I have pictures of people can give advice ?
I am
Ovb gonna call the docs tomorrow but to see if anyones seen the same as it's a strange consistency !
I used canestan and sudocream wondering if that's even made like this pastey mess 🙈

She's only 2.4 and she's reluctant to use the potty yet I think that's where the uti started tbh ...
any advice on even getting a sample would be great :)

She's had a tough old time 8 months of running ear infections then covid chicken pox then this 🥺

So worries first time mum here

Like I said I do have pics if people don't mind lol

Don’t post pics, it’s troll central

MellowMelly · 05/04/2022 21:11

Best not to post the pics.
As for the pasty mess, yes it's entirely likely that the canestan and sudocrem have made that, however it can also be a sign of thrush.
I would recommend keeping her out of nappies as much as possible so air can get around. Look at probiotics for children. Chemists often sell packs of sachets and we would normally recommend these for children after a course of antibiotics as it rebalances their gut.
Definitely call the doctors, as you mentioned, if the cream isn't working and it might be worth considering vulvovagjnitis as a possible option as she has had a urine infection. These often overlap and vulvovaginitis has similar symptoms to thrush. Keep using the sudocrem as that is probably soothing for her. Hope she gets better soon.

Do not send pictures to anyone or post online.

Definitely see a gp or even pharmacist asap.

PferdeMerde · 05/04/2022 21:50

Do not post pictures of your child's thrush online. Don't take pictures of it in the first place. FFS what's wrong with you?
Phone the GP tomorrow.

Aleshia31 · 05/04/2022 21:52

I didn't mean of her actual flower I meant of it in her nappy 🙈
Now i feel daft 😂😂😂😂

Thanks for advice will call the doctors tomorrow anyway but I wasn't sure if they creams mixed together could've made the mess

At times she is saying sore bum but peeing plenty too

Excuse me like is said a worried parent here

There is nothing wrong with me . Infact I'm home alone and worried about my child. For you to think there is something up with that is ridiculous to me

Firstly I hope your little girl is ok. Everyone telling you not to post pictures is really doing that with the very best intentions to keep everyone safe. There's nothing wrong with you, there's just been a bit of miscommunication.

But oh god, please don't call it "her flower"!

I'm not a militant Mumsnetter who insists on the word vulva, but flower, honestly?

Grin my girls call it their flower too

RussianSpy101 · 06/04/2022 16:36

Her flower?!

Jesus Christ.

WeeOrcadian · 06/04/2022 16:50

You didn't make your post clear when you suggested posting photos. You don't know who is at the other end of MN and people have posted stranger things than their child's genitals on MN

I'd take her to a pharmacist to be on the safe side, they'll happily help, I'm sure

Beachbreak2411 · 06/04/2022 16:53

Use cooled camomile tea to clean her with; not wipes. Always sorted my daughter out.

And ignore the nasty comments op. We’ve all gone into panic mode with our kids. X

yogafairy · 06/04/2022 17:41

I agree with @Beachbreak2411 chamomile tea was the only thing that worked on my dd when she was a baby.

pinkflowers82 · 06/04/2022 18:47

I found the best way of getting a sample was to put cotton wool pads in my little ones nappy and then squeeze the cotton wool into a sample pot. I have also let her wee on the kitchen floor and sucked it up with a calpol syringe. Probably not the most sterile tho that way.
