Hi all my toddler just chewed a bit of paint off a toy, do I need to do anything or will she be fine?
Thanks in advance

This isn't something that would worry me. My little boy went through a phase of eating felt tip pens 🙈 they'll be fine.

Thanks I was thinking I was being too crazy as she probably has done this before without me even knowing

If it's a newish toy then it's fine.

If it's a very old toy (from a grandparent or something) then it could have lead in the paint. I think it would still be ok if it's one tiny bit, but I'd take the toy away (and any others that are from the lead paint era!).

I'd also be cautious if it's a toy bought abroad where they may not have the same safety standards that we do.

Paint on toys is safe these days and has been for sometime (though I wouldn't recommend consuming too much of it!).

It’s a new toy bought here , was a tiny bit,did think everything should be safe now just not what you want a child to nibble on
a bit of mum worry
