Hi everyone, first time parents wondering what this rash could be. 9month old DD otherwise completely fine otherwise. Have tried glass test which didn't make a difference. Currently in the queue to 111 but thought we'd ask all you lovely knowledgeable people as well.

Can't see a pic, but viral rashes are pretty common in babies. DD used to get them fairly often. If baby is otherwise well then I wouldn't be too worried unless something else is going on.

If it doesn't fade under the glass test then you're definitely doing the right thing seeking medical assistance.

Thank you for replying. Sometimes you can question whether you might be overreacting. I'm normally the type to brush things off, but the glass test is bugging us.

With glass test definitely get medical advice to hopefully rule out meningitis.

We and our 10 friends had covid last month and now we all have itchy rashes fading to rough patches of something like eczema (we don’t usually have eczema). So there is definitely a post-covid rash going around 🤷‍♀️

Definitely doing the right thing speaking to 111, hopefully they can rule it out or send you for tests. A Dr I spoke to said the best indicator for something wrong was a temp. Hope all ok x

Thank you both. We've ended up in paediatrics overnight for observation and antibiotics. I really appreciate your kind reassurance.
