Teething?

I think my DD is in early stages of teething - she is 4 months on 8th April, she has been dribbling a lot, & is also putting things to her mouth as well as always has her hands in her mouth. She seems to be sleeping more during the day at the minute (she also sleeps through the night) and doesn’t seem quite herself. Usually she’s smiling a lot and making babbling noises but this has stopped over the last couple of days. She had a temp of 38.3C yesterday but this went after calpol - she’s also yawning quite a bit, has anyone else had this with their teething baby?

Just to add that she is still having plenty of wet nappies and is still drinking her milk, although she sometimes hasn’t been finishing the bottle and biting down on the teat - her poos have been a bit hard also, this morning she only had a little nugget but she had a normal poo not yesterday but the day before

With a temp that ill she is ill. If she is sleepy, and it’s difficult to wake her rather than just sleeping more she will to go to A and E.

@Duracellbunnywannabe thank you, I knew something was up with her. She had a urine test done and results came back from the doctor on Friday saying she was fine but my gut told me different. I did take her to a&e straight after doing this post and we’re only now on our way home. She does have a UTI so im not happy with my doctors at all! DD is now on antibiotics

Sometimes these things aren’t obvious. I remember our GP giving antibiotics just incase when she shouldn’t have really but it was Friday 5.30 of a bank holiday weekend, the situation deteriorated pretty quickly and DD1 spent 3 days on IV antibiotics.

I’m glad your DD is on the mend.
