In the summer i started to tolite train my ds it took some time but after a while he got the hang of weeing on the potty or toliet and we were nearly there with the poo's, however he then came down with a very bad chest infection and everything went out of the window
He's now doing really well again and will tell me if he needs a wee and hold it untill we get to the toliet and were getting there with the poo's (he'll tell me when he's done one, and if i notice befoe he does it and ask him if he wants one he will do it on the toliet)He will be 3 in the next few weeks and will be going to nursey in april however he still can't/won't pull his pants/trousers up and so i was just wounding what age other children reconised that they needed a poo and went on the toliet and more importaly when they dressed/undressed themslef at the toliet? and any tips as to how i can encrouge my ds to do so as iv'e tried the usall sticker/swettie rewareds.
Thank you

Setting a good example: if he's not pulling up by nursery, watching the other children will probably encourage him that's the thing to do.

DH was very good, lots of demo's and explanations of what was going on. He managed to teach him to hold the waistband at the sides and then pull the back up etc.

My DS is 3.9 and still has a tendency to take pants and trousers OFF but then come to me half-undressed to put them ON afterwards! Wherever we are . But he is a model at playgroup, goes along with the other kids no problem.
