Lanolising Disana pants for 1st time

Just used a pea sized amount of Lansinoh as I had an old tube, as per the instructions on the Woolywraps site. The pants don't feel or look any different, not sure if this made any difference. Can I relanolise straight away without them being worn to build up the layers? Do I need to olive oil soap wash (or will this strip off what I've added?)

Sorry, I know there are lots of older threads about lanolising but I'm just getting more confused. DD has a really sore red bum from being wet at night and I don't want to risk the pants being really soggy on her.

Should I forget the Lansinoh and get some proper wool cure? It seems like people get mixed results with the Lansinoh.

Appreciate your help (esp. as DH thinks I am mad and have turned into 1900s woman)

And should I lanolise inside out? or not important? Thanks!

It should be fine. You can just relanolise again if you want, but I have a feeling it is better for some reason to use them a couple of times first. Just make sure the night nappy is well boosted and you will be fine - even if it isn't well lanolised it will work like a fleece wrap would.

Lansinoh is fine - I usually use slightly more than that, but I am usually doing a few wraps at once so it makes sense that I use more

I don't use olive soap, I just use a baby shampoo. I put a squirt in the machine and wash on a wool cycle.

Flame your such a woolly den of knowledge. . I have washed and lanolised mine within hrs of lanolising due to big leaky poop.

I used lanolin i got from underthegooseberrybush and it was about £3 for a tub.
