Baby wheezing after feeds

Hello,

I’m a FTM and gave birth via c section over a week ago. My LO was feeding fine and is back at her birth weight already - I’m finding breastfeeding quite painful and I am producing ALOT of milk. The last two days, after feeding during the day she goes down for about 15mins but then starts arching her back, wiggling around and then once we get her up the wheezing starts. We try and burp her and she brings up wind but just fussed and the wheezing is constant then after a while she just wants to go back on the boob, we’re only one night in but doesn’t seem to have this problem at night!

Any ideas?

Would just like to add there seems to be a lot of crying and nothing will settle her for the time she’s up until we get her back on the boob and start the process all over again

Silent reflux maybe?

But it is also normal to feel like you are feeding almost constantly at this stage!

Sounds like reflux to me. Could also possibly be the beginnings of CMPA.. How are her nappies? Colour / consistency. Any noticeable rash after you consume a lot of dairy?
Worth speaking to the GP. When they have reflux they want to feed all the time to settle their tummy but it's a viscious cycle as it makes them more upset! My two were on omeprazole since 8 weeks. One grew out of the reflux at 8 months, the other appears to have a cows milk allergy.

Thank you for the replies! @Inthesky42 @TooMinty

I have been considering it could be reflux or potentially to do with my overproduction! Nappies are fine - still yellow, I actually don’t consume loads of dairy as I have almond milk in tea, and my appetites been a bit off since I gave birth! Haven’t noticed a rash either. It’s so weird that it’s just started a few days in!

Maybe try holding her upright after feeding for 15-20 minutes, against your chest or over your shoulder.
