Birthday party (siblings!)

So I’ve had two messages from two sets of parents asking if their younger children can attend my daughters party at the weekend. I have said yes to both but now I’m worried other parents will bring siblings without asking and there is a max number of children (30) and we now have 27 attending. I plan to say no to any other parents that ask. Also now I’m worried I’m going to have to give the siblings something to eat aswell - not a major issue but it’s a bit of a headache as I had bought a set number of lunch boxes/party bags now I’m going to have to quickly scrape something together. Never doing a party like this again!

I wouldn’t worry about it. There will probably be a couple of drop outs by the weekend and/or people who don’t turn up. That’s the nature of whole class parties! If older siblings are brought you can say that there isn’t space in the activity for them if you have to. Harder for younger ones though!

But yes do get some more food.

I hate when people ask to bring siblings, it’s impossible to say no.

Don't feed the younger siblings. That's how it works around here. Make it clear to the parent beforehand though.
