19 month old red mark/skin above upper lip..

..that has been around for months (and months, likely) and isn't going away. He had back-to-back colds for ages so assumed that was the cause, but it has now been a while without snot running down and no change. Anyone seen something similar with their child, thoughts on what it could be? Maybe will just still be linked to previous colds.. No plans to see a GP about it but a couple of people have commented on it now, and it is quite red/obvious at times (we've of course got used to it). Thanks!

Does it ever change? Does she sick or chew her top lip?

Have you tried a dose of piriton (if she's the right age!) To see if that affects it?

Thanks, @JuneOsborne! Nopes, no sucking, chewing, excessive licking, pulling at the lips... he doesn't do any of that. It's always there, and I've tried putting cream on at bedtime but haven't tried anything for allergy - will look into it :)
